The INPUT Project   The ARCADIA Project The ECONET Integrated Project  The GreenNet project 

Genoa, June 2015. Started on January 1st, 2015 ARCADIA, a research project co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 Programme (Call H2020-ICT-2014-1, Grant no. 645372). The project will last for 3 years (January 2015 – December 2017) and will involve leading research institutes, universities and Small-Medium Enterprises in the field of software development, belonging to 7 different European countries. ARCADIA will identify novel software-development paradigms that enable developers to exploit the emerging characteristics of programmability in modern computing and networking infrastructures.

TNTLab takes part to this project as member of CNIT, the Italian National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications. The lab will mainly be involved on topics concerning Software-Defined Networks and Green Communications.

The following papers co-authored by the TNT lab staff have been selected by the IEEE ComSoc as best readings on the Green Communication topic:

The ITU-GeSI Energy-aware Survey on ICT Device Power Supplies, co-authored by R. Bolla, R. Bruschi and L. D'Agostino in now available on theITU website.

The paper "Green Networking with Packet Processing Engines: Modeling and Optimization" co-authored by R. Bolla, R. Bruschi, A. Carrega and F. Davoli has been accepted for pubblication in the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking.

The TNT Lab. hosted, and supported by means of the ECONET project, the first ETSI Workshop on Energy Efficiency, which took place on 20-21 June 2012, in Genoa, Italy.
